Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I want to get a high score but I don’t believe that I’m well prepared. I don’t have much money to spare on tutoring or classes either.

start a study group, ask a teacher for help, online there is a site where you can take sample test, have your parents help you, get a study buddy, ask you teacher if they can get a copy of some sample questions, if you have one contact your local Upward Bound. GOODLUCK!!!!!!

Go to your public library and in the reference section there are SAT study preparation books. You can use them while sitting in the library.

If your schedule allows for it, try to spend 30-45 minutes five days a week working on one section at a time.

I know that my local library has Kaplan Study Guides, you may also find Princeton Review Study Guides.

Truthfully, all it takes is practice. If you want to be good at math, do math. If you want to have a larger vocabulary, do crossword puzzles. Practice does ACTUALLY make perfect. (or at least better, anyway). To give a personal account, I took the SATs and thought I could do better in the verbal and math sections, and so that’s what I did: I practiced both. I took maybe 20min a day just to do problems in the subjects. I scored 20pts better in each subject, just by practicing. If you want to be good at something, practice practice practice. This holds true in every aspect of life, any time, any thing. Good Luck!

Get the Princeton Review book "Cracking the SAT" and but the big, thick 10 SAT book.

But that’s only step one. The difference between people who buy the book and people who take the course is that the ones taking the course are forced to spend hours being exposed to the material.

So you’ve got to work through that Princeton Review book like you were taking the course. Spend an hour on each chapter. The practice with the tests. Then go back and re read the chapter.

You should do about 60 hours of work to prepare. The cost will be low and you’ll do great.
