how can i make my Apple Ibook run faster?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
laptop was bought used from a school district. a friend updated it for me but it’s still very slow. please help.

Reinstall the OS or update the OS.

the only way any ibook can ‘run faster’ is to get it either wheels or legs. If that is not possible, hold it in your hand and run as if ur tail is on fire….
ha ha ha.
seriously, one suggestion is to simplify display
You more than likely have 2 clean out all of your internet log files . or you could possibly be missing some system files. try reinstalling your program. I would first do a all around cleanup in your internet logging files first. then do a virus scan and registry check. If not any better reinstall your program. There’s a lot of different factor. You could possibly need more RAM!
Go to the Apple menu and select "about this Mac"
You need 1Ghz or greater.
Right Below that it tells how much Memory you have installed.
For OS X, you need a minimum of 1GB.
