Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
Ok, so I took the SATs for the first time back in October without any prior studying or preparation, and I scored a 2070 (800 in math, 640 in Reading, and 630 in Writing.)
My question is: what is the best way for me to raise my Reading score to 700+? (I could also use an increase in my writing too.)
Does anyone know any proven ways?
Thanks to the first answerer* lol
Practice reading for at least 30 minutes a day by yourself to decrease the chances of disturbances/distractions. You should start off with simple books and move up to more challenging books that will make you think. You can read anything from books, poetry, writing, etc. If you start to feel nervous then just breathe in and out for a few seconds. If you need to sound out a word then go ahead and do so. This is all to help you become better at this certain area. Writing may also help. Good luck!

First, you must go get the College Board blue book – it’s the absolute best resource for practice, and a lot of the battle is just doing as many practice problems as possible. Also, you may want to study vocabulary if you’re finding that you’re missing sentence completions more than passage questions. For the grammar stuff, sparknotes.com has some good resources, so take a look there. Good luck!
