Hello,i had 50mb broadband fitted yesterday?
i just did a speed test on my laptop using wireless connection and it come up with 8mb download and 1.3mb upload,surely this download speed is wrong.Is there a definite way of getting a accurate speed test.Also is there a way to test the speed when i am playing ps3 or xbox 360 online.Thanks for your answers.

Wire it and you’ll get as much speed as you can. If it’s still really low then it’s your ISP’s problem and you need to contact them.
1 you need to use a network cable.

if your using wifi, you probably wont get the full speed.
you might be limited by your wifi connection. Upgrade to wireless N or use an ethernet wire to connect to the router.
50mbps is about 6mBytes/sec download. verify your ISP speed (in bits/sec, not bytes) at:
