Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
If so, how did it help you? was it worth it? how much did it cost and how long was the tutoring (like how many sessions did you have to go to)
Depends on the tutor, but they’re usually good. Huntington will also pre-test you, give you a mid-course test, and post-test you. Along the way, the tutors will give you section tests to keep you practiced. The tips are good and the tutors are certified teachers or on their way to certification. They all love teaching.
In truth, a book or two will have the same information, but having a person talk to you and answer your questions will keep you on pace and interested. If cost is an issue, a book with a CD-ROM will work, however.
If cost is not an issue and you think that you need pacing for your preparation, I think that HLC is a good idea.
Oh yeah, by the way, students who took the course (where I *worked*), recommended it highly to their friends. The tutors were fully booked. Your score could improve by 3-5 points, or more. I’m not "selling" here, but I do think it’s good.
