Does the SAT study guide work?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
Because I’m becoming a freshman in high school soon, I’m focusing alot more on my studies. And as all teenagers should know, the SAT’s are an important part of college admissions.
That is why I recently bought the "Official SAT Study Guide" from CollegeBoard. I was wondering, did this study guide help anyone? Was it beneficial? The book is relatively thick so I just wanted to see if it really made anyone’s score increase. And how much did YOUR score increase, if any?
I would prefer it if I got informational responses, thanks
.
The Official SAT Study Guide by the Collegeboard really does work…it did for me. My suggestion is to simply prepare yourself by using such books….do not take SAT classes, they are a waste of time/money. You are better off preparing yourself..you can focus on the subjects you really need to work on (for me it was math).
The Collegeboard study guide has a diagnostic test. Take that first, and then go on to review the material that is in the book. That’s what I did, and I raised my score from a 1730 to a 2040.
That Official guide won’t. The answers and explanations are cut and dry. I suggest you purchase some Barron’s or Princeton review
The "Official SAT Study Guide" from CollegeBoard should be used more for its tests than for its actual conent. When I was taking the SAT exam, I used Tutorfox.com’s SAT guide, which is sold for 10 bucks on their site. Their guide references a lot of the tests in the book you have bought, and emphasizes what is important and what you should ultimately focus on when studying for the exam. The guide also provides a large list of vocabulary words that are vital to one’s success on the actual test. In addtion, I also used the Princeton Review’s SAT guide, which cost me about 15 dollars. With the combination of these three books(tutorfox.com’s guide is online), I was able to raise my score from the 1700′s to the 2300′s in about two months.

Ben
