I'm in the same situation as you. I'm going to be taking AP World History this year, but I'm hoping to take the Sat Subject Test in it, as well. AP Books are definitely more in depth. They cover much more material, especially since on the History Tests they are essays. The Subject Tests are all multiple choice. If I were you, I would pay attention in class all year and use the AP Book to review daily notes, and other things you need to know for your AP Test. If you know pretty much everything for the AP Test, you should do AMAZING, on the Subject Test because there tends to be less information. Closer to the Subject Test, I would look through the SAT Book to make sure that there is no new information on that test. Also, I would review the strategies for the SAT Test, because they may not correspond exactly with certain strategies for the AP Test. So all in all, I would use both type of books, but I would spend less time going over the SAT Book, because your AP class should have taught you more than needed. Also, I would go with Princeton Review books. :)

yes, of course you can. stay more focused on the actual SAT prep books, but the AP studying would only help you.
