Considering The Princeton Review SAT PREP Classroom Courses?
Okay over the summer i have bought the Princeton Review 11 SAT and PSAT practice book. Took the october SAT 2009, and scored a 1910.
I want to break the 2000 mark and have decided to take the Princeton Review Classroom Course. With the early bird special promotion (sign up before nov 9) ill get a 5 discount.
for those who have took the course, what should i expect in the class? Are there vocabulary cards that they give you and books? and how does the class run?

Thanks in advance!

If you haven’t already paid for the class, you might reconsider. If you’ve already purchased the Princeton Review’s books, the class isn’t going to be teaching you anything new or different! Yes, you can get your specific questions answered in class, but that’s the only advantage to you. You’re MUCH better off hiring a private tutor for a few sessions and working from the College Board blue book (it will probably be cheaper for your parents, too). While I think PR’s materials are pretty good, their practice problems aren’t the real thing…the only source for that is the College Board! You can find a local tutor in your area here: http://www.wyzant.com
As for your other questions, yes, the course will give you textbooks, but they’ll do little to nothing to help you with vocabulary. You’re pretty much on your own there, because the test prep power that be have declared that studying vocab isn’t worth your time. It’s so NOT TRUE. The only way to do well on sentence completions is to study vocab. For vocab, I like http://www.word-nerd.com so check them out.
Of course, you can take all of my advice with a grain of salt, and perhaps the class would be good for you. Hope you hit your goal!
