SAT Questions

so i’m taking an sat prep course and i was wondering if they really work? is it like the high school ones were you go with your book and then your do work and take some test or is it completely different? ( i know that the sat work will be harder ) thank you

i’ve already taken the psat (i got a 180ish)… im now doing the gruber’s SAT prep book. should i take the risk taking the SAT before doing a real prep course? i need AT LEAST a 2000!! thanks

English is not my first language ,but unluckily i have to take the SAT in May , this will be my second time to take it ,and probably my last chance,cuz i have to go back to my country pretty soon ,the first one is terrible (with the reading 250 ,writing 380,and math 700) ,but i need a high score (above 2000) for a good university .

i know i only have one month left but i want my family and myself happy about my SAT ,and i will try my best ,SO do you think a SAT Prep Course is necessary for me or you have some other good idea ,please help me ,since this this very important to me .

because of the time schedule and my position ,now the only one avilable is Sylvan ,about 5, 20 hours .who know about this learning center ,will it help me about my english in SAT in only one month
i can afford 5 , but it is still not a small number of money to me .
what i am concerned is that class ,will it help me .and my biggest problem is the vocab ,but that class didnt seem have too much about vocab .
that class is mostly for the local americans which dont have to much vocab problem

What is a good cheep SAT prep course online?

I’m taking an SAT prep course, and I was wondering what goes on in the course…it’s only for 3 days…but I’m really nervous it’s going to be hard, or I’m going to feel like an idiot. help please?

I am supposed to take the SAT next year, and I was wondering what the best prep course to take was.
i think i would prefer an online course. is eprep any good?

I am currently looking for some sort of SAT or ACT prep course or someone who can help my prepare for the sat or act. I’m not really sure which one I want to take so I’m scheduled to take both.

i need help finding a really good.. but not too expensive SAT prep course for this JUNE 2009 SAT!. i want it to be one that raised someones score significantly. PLEASE HELP.

So i recently enrolled in an sat prep course (princeton review) ..they sent me an email yesterday saying that i was the only one enrolled in this course and that they’re keeping the course open for a few more weeks hoping that some more students might enroll.
They said i could transfer into another course but i can’t make it on those days..
So do you think they’ll still continue the course just for one student? Would there be any ramifications? Should i pick another course?

My school offers an SAT prep course at my school. I am in 11th grade and planning to take the SATs in Jan, March, and June. Should I take the course 1st or 2nd semester?

On my psat, I got 620, 700, and 510 on reading, math, and writing respectively. I am considering a prep course, maybe kaplan or princeton. But I also have the books from a kid who took the kaplan course last year.

Is it possible to raise my score to at least 2100 through self-studying or should I take a prep course?

If anyone has taken the PowerScore Live Online SAT course or the Accolade Prep Premier Course, can you please give me your honest review of it? What were the pros/cons of taking the course? What did you learn? Did your SAT score improve? If so, how much? Any other information would be very helpful

I wanna take a SAT prep course, and i am not sure which program is the best. Also do some programs only focus on SAT or do they brush a little on SAT subjects. If not what is the best prep course for SAT subjects?

I was surprised to see that Kaplan’s SAT test prep costs over 0 for 12 prep classes. I’m also aware of the study guides at bookstores and College Board prep sites, but want the best preparation for the test.

Is the Kaplan test prep worth the money? Have you taken it and did it benefit you? If so, how?

Well, I’ve browsed through just about half of the search results for "SAT prep course" on yahoo answers, but I still can’t find the answer for the question I had.

A little background on me: I’m a busy HS Junior, i made 176 on the PSAT last year, (lowest was Crit Reading (54), highest was Math (66))… I think I did substantially better on this year’s, but I don’t know yet. I bought a PSAT book from Kaplan for the PSAT and went over the CR section and writing so-so. I had the book for a while, but I didn’t really use it until a week before the exam …. I did the three practice tests and got 200+ on all of them. (highest was 212, lowest was 201)

Anyway! My question is:
Should I take the Kaplan SAT course (Princeton Review isnt offered in my area)?? Does anyone think it could help someone like me? Does it raise scores substantially? Or would I do better just buying a book? (Remember, I am a student who is busy and has little time, and is not very self-starter-y and probably wouldnt use the book as much as I should and would probably cram 1-2 weeks before the test)

I dont want to have to spend 00 on something targeted to students who really have it worse than I do, because i want to break 2100+ on the SAT… So yeah…

I’m just curious because I’m interested in starting SAT prep next year……the more details the better!!…. : D
