PostHeaderIcon Sat Questions

Sat Questions

Learning to Sat test entails daily intensive practice. Whether you are taking a course or you don’t, practice at home with yourself going over and over questions that are hard in general or hard for you and solving test is proven to be very efficient way og learning given that you need to learn a massive amount of information in a relatively short time.

The sat questions we provide are so diverse so even if you think you already covered a certain field of knowledge we will surprise you with a tricky question that has a twist that you might miss.

Before we proceed to the concrete learning and practicing we will provide you with information about the test itself. Sat test measures the learning ability of the student.

Most of the questions are multi-type questions with one or more right answers but there are also subjective questions like writing an essay. The critics of this test say that it is culturally biased. I.e. this test is adapted to the western white student and doesn’t reflect the ability of wide groups. However, as for today it is widely accepted in the USA and is a entrance certificate to universities.

The test is comprised of a few sections:

Critical reading-this section includes reading comprehension and sentence completion. This section examines your ability to understand text and your vocabulary. This section is a multiple-choice questions.

Writing section: This section consists of two parts: multiple-choice questions and open question. The first part is finding the right errors in a sentence and the second part is writing an essay about a given subject.

Math: in this section there are also two type of questions: one, there is a mathematical problem that has four answers, only one is correct. You have to choose the answer out of the four options. The other type of questions is questions with no given answers, you have to calculate and reach the solution and fill it into a special grid.

PostHeaderIcon Why do most private schools now require laptops?

I get the need to access information quickly, but other than that I don,t understand why a student would need their own machine if they attended a private day, or boarding school. I am a Freshman this incoming year, and am considering attending boarding school next year or the year after, as a Sophmoore, or Junior. All the school I am currently looking at require laptops.

Can someone fill me in on why they mainly require them? It seems as though (throughout what I have read, and heard,) that they mainly serve as a distraction in the classroom, with students IMing and searching the web/playing games when they should be focused and paying attention. Don’t get me wrong I love to do it too while at home, but it just doesn’t seem suitable for a place of learning. It also bothers me that test scores from students who have switched from public school to private school, their state and national scores have dropped significantly.

Laptops have their place and I can see the benefits of having one at school, when not improperly used.

Can anyone explain? (Feel free to share experiences if you would like.)

PostHeaderIcon Is Elite or Excel a better SAT prep class?

I am planning on taking a SAT prep course. I am trying to chose between the Elite Educational Institute and the Excel Test Prep. Can someone please tell me which one is better at preparing its students for the SAT? It would be really helpful if you could also include the prices for each session for each program.

Or you can tell me another program that’s better than these two.

PostHeaderIcon How do I disassemble a laptop computer case?

An error message precedes the booting up of the computer indicating "PXE-E61 Media Test Failure, Check Cable. The black screen then asks me to insert system disk. Thanks!

PostHeaderIcon Known issues with the Toshiba Tecra 9100 laptop?

I recently bought a used laptop, a Toshiba Tecra 9100. On startup, it will sometimes freeze before Windows XP can even load. If Windows does manage to load and I get to the desktop, it will freeze soon after. And this is if the laptop even starts up, sometimes I’ll press the power on button and the indicator light will come on, without any other sign of life. I then have to hold the button until the light goes off, then try again. I also don’t have any peripherals attached (mouse, wireless USB adapter, etc.), and it does this with the AC cord connected as well as disconnected.
I was just wondering if these laptops are known to ever experience these problems, because then when I get it repaired, I can point the technician in the right direction (resulting in me hopefully paying less in time saved). He estimated the work would cost 0 CAD, unless it took over an hour. He tested the hardrive and checked viruses for free, and found no problems.
Any info/ thoughts are appreciated, Thanks

PostHeaderIcon What does the term "media test failure" mean?

when trying to turn on a laptop. A black screen apears and says something about a boot agent and when i press enter it says "media test failutre". I’ve never used the laptop before…?
It doesn’t have a hard drive. I didn’t think that would be a problem.

PostHeaderIcon Why wont any emulators work on my laptop?

PostHeaderIcon How do you use the real size of a hard disk?

I have a 2.5" Fujitsu IDE hard disk that says 40GB. I tested it on my laptop and it detected it as a 40GB. But when I put it on an external enclosure and formatted it on a PC the total size became 22GB.

How come it became 22GB? How can I make it 40gb? I used fat32 because it will have an error on ntfs and it is on a vaio enclosure.

PostHeaderIcon How do I use my laptop as a gateway for my Xbox?

So I have an Xbox 360 in my room but my desktop is too far away to easily run an ethernet cable to it. I do however have a laptop with a wireless adapter on it. I did some Googleing and found that people have been able to do this through network sharing. I tried it but still no luck. When the Xbox tests the connection, it retrieves the IP address but it is unable to retrieve the DNS. Anyone got any answers?

PostHeaderIcon How can I connect my Xbox 360 to my laptop?

Can I connect my xbox 360 to my laptop to use my laptop as a controller. I don’t have a controller right now, and I really want to test it to see if it works. I don’t mean connect to xbox live, I just want to use my laptop like a controller. Thanks!

PostHeaderIcon SAT Scores = SAT Prep Class?

I took PSAT my Sophomore year and got a 141 (1410 respectively). My Junior PSAT score was 162 (1620 respectively) while my 1st SAT test was a 1630.
***I did not study for any of them***

I want to apply at Georgetown however I know my SAT scores aren’t good enough.

Question: Is a SAT prep class worth the 0? Or should I just buy test prep books? My school does not offer an SAT class.

PostHeaderIcon Do you think those kids who get sent to testing prep camp things get very good test scores?

I know some people who get sent to writing camps and SAT stuff and I feel like so unacomplished like "why arent I enrolled"? Those cost quite a bit of money dont they? Do they actually help alot? Does that mean those who dont go to those camps fail at life? My brother didn’t go to any of those and he got 1450 out of 1600 when he was in high school :/ Im just wondering if im really missing out?

PostHeaderIcon Is an 1890 a good SAT score on a diagnostic test?

I’m new to the whole grading system for SAT scores.
I just took a diagnostic test for my SAT prep class. I’m just starting classes, and my diagnostic test score was 1890. I got a 570 in critical reading, 640 in math, and 680 in writing.

The class is supposed to raise my score up to 300 points. Am I on a good enough track to get into USC (University of Southern California)?

I need to run some relatively complex programs (like say explorer, firefox, MS office, etc.) from an external source, like an external harddrive or thumbdrive. however, all the ones i have require extensive .dll’s or local harddrive access. what programs could I use?
