Can I use my leftover financial aid to buy a laptop?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
After tuition and books, I have about 0 left over. Apparently the school sends the extra to me as a check once both tuition disbursements have been received. If I set the extra money aside for a few semesters, I’d have enough to buy one of the Dell mini laptops. Can I do this? I only ask because I signed the promissory note that said I wouldn’t spend it on things unrelated to school. I figure it’s school-related… Experiences?

Anyway, it’s your money, it’ll be almost impossible for them to track, unless you try to use those checks to pay directly for the laptop. Once you get that check, you can deposit it and use it as you wish.

You can also spend it on transportation to and from school, pens, notebooks, a flash drive, food eaten at school, anything you can use at school, even going to a play or anyplace that is given as homework by the teacher.
None of these answers are particularly correct.
You can use Federal financial aid for anything that is covered under your school’s Cost of Attendance. You can find your school’s cost of attendance USUALLY by going to their website and typing in *Cost of Attendance*. Some schools do not include the cost of Tecnology(which laptops are usually included in) in their Cost of Attendance. If this is not included, you would not be able to receive Financial Aid for that purpose at that school. You can go to studentaid.ed.gov to get more information on that.
