Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I scored a 34 on the ACT, which is equivalent to a 2260 on the SAT. I have been tutoring for the SAT for a few weeks now, and I think it is the right thing to do to take the SAT in January but not continue with tutoring. If I do well, but not up to 2260 on the SAT, do I have to report that grade or anything? Because I am planning on taking SAT II’s.
Colleges will ask you for an ACT OR SAT score. They usually tell you to put the best score you received. If you do better on the SAT, then you can report that score. If you do worse, you can just forget about it and you don’t have to report it. Just use your better score.
Just don’t fill in the automatic reporting section. You have to pay later (vs it being free for automatic), but its worth the 10 bucks (or whatever it is) to be able to pretend you never took one test or another depending on how you did on it. Personally I think the SAT is a bit more valued since getting a 34 on the ACT could meant as low as a 2150 (or up to a 2260 as you mentioned) on the SAT.
