Are my SAT scores good?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I recently took a practice SAT in preparation for the real SAT in May. I just got my results. I got a 1790 overall, 510 for math, 600 critical reading, 680 for writing, and 8 for the essay.
My question is if these scores are good, considering it is my first SAT.
Also, what can I do to improve them? What did you guys do?
What colleges will these scores get me into?
I’m a junior currently.

Your math score could use a wee bit of improvement, but otherwise, your scores are pretty good.
If the colleges you apply to have deadlines really late, you could retake them in January. I did that and my math score shot up (I was taking 2 math classes and a physics class, but still…)
Well, honestly I don’t know.
Mine are as follows:
Math – 800
Critical Reading – 700
Writing – 730
{Overall 2230 – Junior}
Essay – 11
