Are my sat scores good enough to get into an ivy league school?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!
I took the May SAT and I got a 2100. I received a 660 on critical reading, a 730 in math, and a 710 in writing skills. I looked up the SAT scores expected by Harvard officials, and I met the categories in math and writing skills, but i was 30 points shy from meeting the standards in critical reading. Can I still be accepted with my scores as long as I have a good GPA and plenty of extra curricular activities?

You won’t know until you apply. Colleges (especially private, ivy league schools) are EXTREMELY competitive these days. Because private schools refuse govt. funding, they also have their choice in applicants without any govt. rules.
If I were you, I wouldn’t just apply to ivy leagues. Make sure you have a few good backup schools (say, Northwestern, Boston College, Univ. of Michigan, etc) JUST IN CASE. You can never be set on being accepted into an ivy league, even if you’re close to meeting minimum requirements.
[NOTE: as a current college student, my advice is NOT to stress out too much about it. you will be happy WHEREVER you go, and with scores as high as yours, you will be successful no matter where you're accepted! GOOD LUCK!]

yea, i bet you would… the college’s now a day could care less about what you got on the SAT, but if you are a well rounded student and you seem to fit!!!

Yes you can, youd need alot of money, and try doing at least 72 hours of community service, its what Notre dame wants for me to get in. but GPA is a big factor as well.
I have very similar SAT scores to what you had, but was rejected from every Ivy school I applied to (Columbia, Penn, and Yale). More so than ever, SAT’s are only an initial factor in the college process (friends with lower scores than me got into some Ivy’s). More important are your essay, your extra-cirriculars, and the number of students applying to Harvard from you area.

as far as i know these ppl are more concerned about "over all development"and not just the SAT scores…best of luck
