Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his SAT.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great SAT guide that helped me a lot . So study hard and good luck!

I just would like to know so I can see if I need to get a tutor or not! Thank you to anyone who helps!

According to the Princeton Review (see link below) the average SAT score is 1210/1600 and the average ACT is 25.

75% of admitted students have a math SAT score of 580 or better, a verbal score of 540 or better and a writing score of 600 or better. 75% have an ACT of 23 or better.

The University of Minnesota is more selective with out-of-state students than with in-state students. They have made the decision to have a large campus in the Twin Cities rather a number of smaller universities with one premier campus (like California’s Berkeley or North Carolina’s Chapel Hill). It is possible to get a degree there without getting a great education — but it is also possible to get a degree there that is as good as the most prestigious universities in the country.

    Good luck

Check here for the profile info for the 2006 entering freshman class – it has the average high school rankings, act and sat scores for last year’s freshman class. http://admissions.tc.umn.edu/Academics/profile.html
This would be a good guideline.
