SAT Questions

I am 16 and going to take the SAT test next year and i was wondering what would be the best way to study for it or what is the best class to take in the austin tx area that will help me get the best results?

I want to help a private tutor for the SAT test in this summer. But I don’t know which one is good??? Can you give me some suggestions…. I am very appreciate about that….

I am thinking about The Princeton Review and the Kaplan. Which is better?

was it helpful? does it concentrate more on test taking stratgies or math review? and how much empahsis is put in teaching how to use the graphing calculator effectively on the test?

I’m going to be a junior next year, and I’ve been trying to get my score up to at least the 2000 range. I’ve made a litle bit of progress, going from a 1440 to a 1770 this summer, but I’ve had some big problems I don’t know how to fix.

For the math section, I always struggle with the last five problems, which are the most advanced. I just don’t understand how you make up your own equations and see it from a different point of view. It really frustrates me when I don’t know what to do or how to even start it. I look in the back of the book on how they solved the problems, but I always end up feeling stupid after seeing the strange techniques they used… although somehow they make it work. Most of the time I end up leaving these advanced problems blank. How can I get better at this?

By the way, I’m taking the SAT early senior year I think.. and my parents are considering sending me to an SAT prep class for this upcoming year. Has anyone heard of ELITE, or has anyone taken a Princeton Review Class? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I’m 13, and I’ve always heard how hard and stressful the SAT and the ACT are. How can I start preparing now? I flipped through an SAT book at barnes & noble, and it recommended studying an hour a night on week nights and four hours every Saturday for the year before you take the SAT! Do you really need that much preparation?

I took practice tests both from the College Board subject review and REA’s subject review… and my scores have a huge discrepancy, scoring 790 in the CB and in the mid-600s in REA’s. REA’s questions are much more difficult than the CB study guide, but I wasn’t sure how realistic my CB scores are compared to REA’s. Does anyone know if it’s okay to feel that I’m prepared enough, assuming my CB score is the more accurate estimate of my score?

just got my laptop back from repair, i was told it cannot be further repaired since it has already had so much done to it. previously there were blue screens causing my laptop to crash….those have been repaired but SOMETIMES on start up it says pxe e61 media test failure chech cable….exiting rom or something like that…it only happens sometimes when i switch the laptop on….when i force it to close and restart again it works fine and there r no problems while running the laptop.

my question is, should i buy a new laptop now or can i continue using the laptop as normal? if this is not a serious problem then i am prepared to bear with it….pls lend some advice!

What is the best SAT preparation book?

I was going to get "Cracking the SAT" or "college board Official SAT guide" but i heard from people that they are both incomplete and have many errors. They also have low ratings on Barnes & Nobles. Any other suggestions?

I want to buy a laptop for personal,school, and possibly business use..Im a college student, i live on my own, and i wanted to buy a good laptop so i can work on school projects using the autocad 2006 program as well as type a paper for english and pay bills online safely… Im also most likely will be listen to music, i know that its not good to download music to your computer so i have a zip drive that i download and transfer all my music with… The problem is i dont know what kinda of memory i need, and what is too much and too little in payment…I know anything cheap isn’t good, but there are such things as good deals… Please be specific, teenage male, college, girls, liquor, etc… = horrible memory. do the math. Thanks

Like in general for any of the test. But particularly the AP U.S. History which I’m taking this friday, and I want to take the one that is the most similar to the real AP test.

And the smartypants books for the Environmental Science AP test, which I’m taking this wednesday.

If you know of any other book names, that would also help me in the future.

I am a technician and sometimes I need to distinguise if the monitor is bad or a video card in a desktop PC. Presently I have a monitor that I drag into the site to hook up. Can I use my Dell Latitude 620 just to test the desktop PC

Should I only review past exam questions or should I go more in depth with each topic?

Also, will the college board SAT course prepare me for the ACT too?

Also, What’s the difference in the two tests? Should your mind-set be different during each separate test, or what?

they always tell you you should read lots of books and stuff like that, but the idea of reading a book all the time is a little boring so I’m looking for a good website that has articles, stories or anything I can read and improve my skills by it.

im talkin about the SAT preparation booklet that they give you in the mail, i dont know if everyone gets it though cause im takin it in 7th grade. but if u do have it then do u think its harder then the real SAT???

i bought a used laptop that belonged to a school. it is locked with a password. is there anyway i can overwrite the password myself without having to take it to a computer shop?

i’ve tried using "password" and not entering a password at all and it still doesn’t work. the computer is an hp compaq nc6000 and the operating system is windows xp professional.

Ive got a wireless connection and when i test for xbox live the I/P adress fails !! And i dont want to waste £50 on the xbox adapter thingy, Plz help !
and i have already typed my ip adress from my laptop into my xbox =)

I am really nervous because on my first Sat score I got a 1560. How bad that is considering I want to go to a UC school? I will retake it in May and if u have any suggestions or test preps sites please let me know.
